Forum rules

1) STAY ON TOPIC

The Prophet64 Forum is about the Prophet64 software, the Prophet64 cartridge and related musical and MIDI hardware. We divided the forum into several sections, each devoted to it's own subject. Please stick to that.
Most people are musicians and/or computer users, who like to chat about more than just the subjects stated above. This is nice, but if you like to do so, use the OFF TOPIC subforum or if it is too remotely connected (like, say, synthesizers in general), use another forum altogether.

2) MIND YOUR LANGUAGE

Please don't start flame wars or post trolls about anything or anyone. The moderators will post a warning (either personal or in the thread) or close the thread completely. If someone repetitively fails to comply to the rules of the forum, the moderators will have to ban this person. Both the Commodore and the musicians scene has a good reputation, please don't spoil that.

3) PUT SOME EFFORT IN IT

One of the reasons you might want to post on the forum is because you have a question.
Please use the search function before you ask a question, it might be possible that your Question was asked and answered before.
If you do, please put some effort in describing the problem. People are much more willing to help you, and much more capable for that matter, if you are clear in what actions you already took and what exactly happened. And of course, if you clearly state the nature of your musical emergency ;) .

4) THE KEYBOARD HAS MORE KEYS THAN LETTER ALONE

Some people tend to write by only using small letters, without interpunction, without a lot of spaces and without using enter. This leads to a hardly readible piece of text. Please use a period (.) or a comma (,), Start Your Sentences With A Capital and use ENTER once in a few lines. An occasional smiley brightens things up even more. =D
Oh, AND THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT!

5) ENJOY AND/OR PARTICIPATE

This is a forum for the Prophet64 community. A community consists of more than a few people and it exists because of the interaction between those people. Please be kind to eachother and be helpful if you can. Contribute by posting your knowledge, your music or the results of you labour. Or by letting people know you care or you enjoy life in general ;)

6) MODERATION

If you think someone crossed the line of good behaviour, please be patient. Moderators read the forum too and they will take appropriate action if needed. You can always notify one of the moderators if you think it's the right thing to do. Please take notice of rules 1 and 2 and think of rule 3 when notifying a moderator. Don't start 'moderating' yourself, as the general experience is that this will only make things worse. On the other hand, if a moderator kindly asks you to comply to the rules, please do so. In some cases you might not agree and want to discuss matters. Feel free to do so, but do it by using private messaging or e-mail. However, we might need to remind you of this: the moderator is always right :P.

6) POSTING LINKS

Please do not post any links to drug-, sexual related, or illegal sites. Also please do not post any pictures which are protected by any copyrights.

7) UPLOADING FILES

There is a section where you can upload and download Files. This is only for Prophet64 Songs and Instruments. The Songs must be in .prg or .d64 format, no MP3 or wave-files etc are allowed. The Instruments must also be in .d64 or .prg format. You are only allowed to upload your own work. Files that could break any rules will be deleted.

8) REGISTRATION
New members got limited access to the forum in the first place. After being validated by the moderators, valid members will get full member access.

YOU WON'T RECEIVE AN REGISTRATION EMAIL UNTIL YOUR REGISTRATION WAS POSITIVE VALIDATED BY THE FORUM ADMINISTRATOR! YOU COULD CONTACT THE FORUM ADMINISTRATOR WITH A GOOD REASON TO GET FORUM-ACCESS EARLIER.

Have fun and we hope you'll enjoy this corner of the internet!
