Yesterday I found out the F-Keys somehow bypass the POT state. I dunno if this is a bug or a feature, but it can become handy to pre-adjust the POTs and then dump the setting to the synth just like recalling a snapshot:
During pattern play press and hold F5 (eg..) and adjust the POTs. As soon as you release F5 the changed POT states affect the desired parameters.
Good for achieving transitionless sound changes upon breaks or whatever, without another patch recall...
I know, L-SHIFT activated in SETTINGS / CONTROL could do the same thing, I just don't like the L-SHIFT neither holding shift while tweaking nor shift-lock due to some strange behaviour, like 3/4-value parameters (waveform, filter mode) won't work while shift-lock is down...
The F-key trick also works in Bassline and Drummer (although the 1-pot drummer doesn't benefit that much).
Sidenote: It seems to be only F-keys bound to a function of the software. In the Drummer F5 isn't used and therefore doesn't bypass the POT...

It's not a bug, that's the way the program works.
The F keys set the Monosynthesizer in different modes: F1-pitch mode, F3-time mode, F5-transpose mode (not for the drummer -of course) and F7-normal mode.
Pot- and joystick edits are inactivated while note editing.
Ok, that makes sense. I know the pots don't work in step edit, but didn't think of transpose as mode too. However it doesn't make sense in the Drummer where F7/F8 adjust the trig delay...
Anyways, I like it - with little practice it's possible to assign a parameter and immediately press and hold F5; the parameter will be assigned but not yet modified by the pot state, which can be adjusted while holding the F-key 8)
