Gorgeous mod! I love the painted and labeled keys and especially the grill! Tell us about the construction - how did you make the grill, and did you follow Alpha's mod's? Anything else unique to share?

that is sweet how did you do the keys like so?

Tonka - with the krylon make sure you spray the can upside down until it sprays air to keep it clean. You can replace the nozzle with any old nozz;e also, like from fly spray.
The grill is made with #31 metal mesh from B&Q, the mods inspired by AlphA.

Well it's mostly in the technique actually. Lots of light coats.
Where I can I use Krylon fusion. The orange one above I've used a white primer to bring out the colour, with plasti-kote on top.
The orange one is for sale by the way - was thinking of putting it on ebay but I am open to offers. It's mono, but has an s-video out where the A/V usually is.

I love the orange C64C. Can you post some info on the parts - where do you get your pots, knobs and switches? Do you have model numbers?

Knobs bezdez on ebay or hongkongsuperseller on ebay
I do need to get some more krylon actually. The place where I got mine from it was a total hassle to order from. I had to fax a cheque or something.

So, after long weeks I found a distributor for Krylon Fusion cans: www.caswelleurope.co.uk
It's ok to deliver in France ! (and maybe others europe country).
Shipping cost (to France) is 25£ for up to 10 kg (18 cans)
each can is 9.9£
I ordered many colours and "Clear Matte Finish (UV resist)" to spray on keys after decal print...
if someone is interested, the next order could be grouped !
