Pinkie, my adorable seven-armed octopus cable.

This isn't really a mod... but it sure is odd... so it'll go here.

This is Pinkie (complete with Mother Display attachment).

Pinkie is a beanie-baby doll that I outfitted with an 8 pin female DIMM firmly in his buttocks and seven RCA jacks on his tentacles.

http://www.signalflowonline.com/misc/pinkie/PinkieC64_2_38.JPG

He is set to carry the standard A/V signals for C64, C64C and C128 and two extra RCA jacks so if I decide to do a SID2SID mod, I'll wire the I/O into the 8 pin on the C64 and he shall be the Mega Nexus of Commodore stuff.

Thanks to the amount of information on these boards, I was able to do this as my first C64 project.

Thx!
Erk

*doh*
It must be my remote image linking setting on my webserver. I'll fix that in a few.

Edit:

Well, I just plugged him in for the first time and either my TV is crap (which it very well could be - was crap when I bought it 7 years ago), or I have to hit the drawing board. The picture is horrendous looking. sad

Check your wiring, it's likely that you have a bad joint, and/or a mis-wired socket.
I can see the pics now by the way, looks pretty cool wink

I just tested it on my roommate's TV and it looks crystal clear on her's.

Granted it was using what I thought was the 'Audio Out' cable for video (meaning my pins are wrong and now I have to jerk around to find out which is what) but it works.

Pictures will come soon - *once I find a replacement TV* sad
